Hatha Yoga is the source of numerous styles of Yoga. It is often seen as the base of Yoga. Purpose is it to bring the body and its energy channels into balance. Through practicing mainly Asanas the body feeling will be increased and the body position will be corrected. 

HA means sun - THA means moon. Through our body masculine and feminine energies are flowing. The sun (HA) stands for the masculine energy in our body and the moon (THA) stands for the feminine energy in our body. The purpose of HATHA Yoga is it to bring both energies and to activate our chakras to improve the energy flow in our body.

Patanjali is writing in his "Yogasutras" about Ashtanga Yoga a practice which leads you in 8 stages into a state of self-enlightenment/ liberation of the self (Samadhi).

You will deepen your own Yoga practice in a Yoga Retreat or in a Yoga Teacher Training. Additionally, you will learn in our Beach and Hills Yoga Teacher Training Yoga Philosophy and knowledge about Ayurveda from Indian Yoga Teachers, so that you will be able to create your unique Lifestyle according to that and the best is you will learn how to share this knowledge with other people. You will study in a Yoga Teacher Training how the human body works and we will go into detail into the importance of different body structures when it comes to the asana practice. As well you will enhance your meditation practice. During the course, you will build your own network of like-minded people and you will grow personally. All these benefits and learning you can get out of the YTTC. The comparison between joining a Teacher Training and a Yoga Retreat is mainly that you will receive after the Yoga TTC an internationally accepted certificate to Teach Yoga. You might have all the other learnings and personal growth after going to a Yoga Retreat but you will not receive a Certificate for Yoga Alliance.

 

We don’t recommend bringing books to the course because they will probably overload your luggage. We will share some online books with you so that you can read them on your mobile device. If you like you can read upfront some books like Asana, Pranayama, Mudra/ Hatha Yoga Bradipika/ Patanjali Yoga Sutra / Light on Pranayama / Anatomy by Lesli or David Kale/ Four chapters of freedom/ Meditation from Tantras / Mantras and Meditation by swami Vasu Devananda

Bali is a very safe country to travel alone (especially for women). Actually, it is the best destination to make your first solo trip to because Balinese people are the most friendly and kind people. They are always there to help you when you are in any troubles. Most dangerous are the road conditions: you should always pay attention for wholes, street bumps, dogs, motorbikes and cars when you walk in the streets.
